Summer Wedding 2010

This is another piece – another of my favorites – from Katy’s wedding. This one is very striking, and it was a perfect summer accent for Lauren’s classy little black dress. The necklace is made of crystals and pearls on a floating wire and the earrings are simple drops. The piece is versatile and lovely!

Wow! It’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything new! Well let’s just say it’s been a busy summer. I’m ready to share some beautiful pieces though, and I’ll start with this sassy piece from my friend and jewelry model Katy’s wedding party. Katy is a unique gal, who came to me and asked me to make different pieces for all of her bridesmaids, based on an assigned color and their personality, as she described it to me. A challenge! But I loved it, and I love every piece.

This piece was based on the color “sangria” and styled specifically for the fabulous, exotic, sexy Marianna. I used antique bronze findings (which are all the rage right now) and strung tons of red pearls, Swarovski crystal, semi-precious and glass stones. The necklace has two strands of beads with a chain intertwined which meet in the middle with a delicate filigree pendant. The earrings are chandelier, and the whole set makes me want to put it on and be mysterious!

Katy's wedding, April 10, 2010

This is another one of Katy’s unique pieces for the ladies in her wedding. Abby is an eclectic, fashionable gal, and I really wanted this necklace to capture her energy. It took a lot of tries! I had three other pieces started that I just wasn’t happy with before this one came together. The green pendant is looped onto a silver chain along with a stunning Swarovski crystal ring. The double strand features turquoise, silver and pearls, and gives an awesome dimension to the piece! I know Abby will wear this a million different ways, and I’m so happy that “her” piece finally came together in the way that it did!

Bridesmaid at Katy's wedding, April 10, 2010

This is the piece that actually inspired my friend Katy to have her own wedding jewelry made similarly. Katy gave me colors and “personalities” for all of her bridesmaids, and Amanda was mayan jade with a huge, outgoing persona. I used some awesome beads in this creation: chinese pearls, turquoise,  swarovski crystals and pearls, glass beads, ceramic beads and more. I love this bold, summery look – it almost feels like a crown for your neck! Katy tried it on when we were in the process of making all of the pieces and said “this is what I want!”

Katy (Corey) Seidling wedding, April 10, 2010

This is a very fun and beautiful piece made for a good friend on her wedding day. Katy is a beautiful soul who loves the unique qualities of life and insisted upon a bold, yet classic centerpiece for her wedding. I used a lot of my favorite beads in this piece: Swarovski crystals, Swarovski and freshwater pearls, and faceted glass beads. The necklace and earrings just glow and the beautiful bride made them dance through her day! I am very proud of this piece, as it truly reflected my friend and her love. Winter Workday 2010

This is a piece that came together this winter, to go especially with the sassy little red cocktail dress that I wore on New Year’s Eve. I like it very much because of it’s striking form – the two black pearls really stand out and are flanked by tiny Swarovski crystals for some sparkle. The simple drops on two silver chains are bold and can be worn for many occasions – casual with jeans, to work, with my cocktail dress or even more formally. I’ve been doing a lot with black pearls and I really love them – they’re very sexy and bold while maintaining the tradition and class of pearls.

This is a BOLD piece made for my girlfriend Tash to flaunt at the Matters of the Heart gala. It’s got three strands of extremely fine gold wire, dripping with gold and black pearls. I love how it sits on the collarbone and really makes a statement!

Matters of the Heart Gala - February 2010

My lovely friend Mary styled one of my older pieces recently at the Matters of the Heart gala, with her gorgeous custom dress from Vietnam. This piece was originally created for bridesmaids wearing strapless red dresses at a wedding, but it translated well to compliment this Asian-inspired gown. The necklace is made of pearls, Swarovski crystals and glass beads, and the bold earrings have glass dangles.

It has been some time since my last posts, but keep your eyes open! I have some new designs to share, and am heading on a relaxing holidy next week, where I hope to be inspired! Also watch for a spring show date – coming soon!

Fall workday 2009

This piece is on loan from my good friend T. I made the necklace for her birthday a few years back, but really loved it and asked to borrow – it goes great with my purple shirt and a black suit! Both necklace and earrings are made up of faceted purple glass beads, pearls, glass crystals and small purple square beads. They can be very dressy for a special occassion, or as you can see here, perfect for a workday!

Fancy in the Fall - 2009

This is a really beautiful set which will be on sale at my open house this Sunday! It’s a three-strand floating necklace using gorgeous stones: polished amethyst, Swarovski crystal and dark pearls. I love it. The earrings are also great – dangles that catch the light. It could be yours this weekend!

Don’t forget – I’m having an open-house at my home on Sunday, November 15 from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. I will be selling a lot of my on-hand merchandise to make room for a new collection.
